We are looking for a CMS Support Engineer to join the Digital Operations team working on the web platforms for the Independent, Indy100, Evening Standard and Homes and Property.

The role would be supporting the editorial teams of these titles in the use and day to day operations of the Content Management System. Technical understanding is certainly a plus but more important is an ability to prospect and establish new relationships while meeting/exceeding quarterly revenue goals.

You will report to the US Head of Programmatic Partnerships, work closely with the traditional sales and operation teams and spend the majority of your time finding opportunities to maximize programmatic revenues across the ESI network.

You will already have a demonstrable track record in pitching programmatic solutions to agencies and advertisers as well as an ability to manage a pipeline to ensure successful delivery against quarterly revenue targets. Preference will be given to candidates who possess an established roster of advertiser and agency buyer contacts.

1-2 year’s minimum experience of selling to programmatic buyers is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed quarterly programmatic revenue goals.
  • Build strong relationships with agency trading teams at relevant levels through regular communication, meetings and entertainment as appropriate
  • Propose, pitch and close business for new clients, establish and manage pipeline, maintain knowledge of industry trends and client activity
  • Work closely with Programmatic Operations team to ensure the full delivery and optimisation of campaigns
  • Analyse data and accumulate insights on campaign performance and market intelligence
  • Input into our programmatic trading strategy and help enhance our offering
  • Perform all other reasonable duties as requested by the US Head of Programmatic Partnerships and adhere to all company and departmental principles and guidelines

Key Requirements

  • 1 year + programmatic sales experience; ideally with a publisher, ad network, ad tech.
  • Strong contacts within digital buyers across DSPs, Trading desks, agency programmatic buying teams, and individual advertisers
  • Successful track record managing sales pipeplines and selling PG and PMP solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in designing data enabled solutions and comfortable leveraging large data sets to inform optimizations.
  • Proficient in pitching data
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with multiple internal teams to facilitate channel revenue growth.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of developments across the media industry.

Job Purpose

To generate sponsorship sales across a variety of Evening Standard owned events. Responsible for creating key commercial relationships, meeting sponsorship targets and working across bespoke and consumer events within ESI Live.

Key responsibilities
