The Independent X Standon Calling.

  • The Independent partners with forward thinking, family friendly festival, Standon Calling

The Independent has had a fantastic partnership with Standon Calling for the last two years, partnering with The Laundry Meadow stage. The Independent wanted to reflect the broad, diverse range of music it covers on Indy Music and Standon Calling really rose to the challenge. Around 50 per cent of The Laundry Meadow's lineup are women, and two out of three of the stage's headliners this year are women. The stage is also hosting two different LGBT+ acts in the evenings: Savage Disco and Sado Opera an art/post-punk/rock band based in Berlin but with roots in Russia.

The festival itself is one of the most forward-thinking independent events in the UK, they're incredibly family friendly and put on tons of events for kids as well as adults.

Each year they've been proving that you can sell out tickets while hosting a lineup that is eclectic, fresh, on-trend and diverse.
