Final Say campaigners march to Downing Street.

  • Christian Broughton and Final Say campaigners hand in petitions to Downing St containing 1.5m names demanding a second referendum

Today, Christian Broughton, Editor of The Independent, went to Downing Street to hand in petitions, containing 1.5m names, for the Final Say campaign and People's Vote initiative.

The Independent’s Final Say petition has attracted more than 1,075,000 names since it was launched in the summer, while the People’s Vote petition has also attracted 337,012 signatures.

The group consisted of cross-party politicians, including Conservative ex-cabinet minister Justine Greening and Labour's Chuka Umunna, alongside Christian Broughton.
